The ubiquitous storage jar of the ancient world, the amphora was made to hold wine, oil, and other products. The narrow, sensuous shape has slightly pointed bottoms that require an iron stand for vertical presentations. They are made to stand in the curly wrought-iron "feet" which expands the motif of the wrought-iron grills and grates.
